humble(ed) beginings

I have been meaning to tell this story for a while; the amazing way God orchestrated our beginnings,

December 15,2012
We met not long after I had just come full circle from what some people call "Finding Yourself" it was rebellion plain and simple on my part.
Some friend had invited me to go out with them. Not even having walked 30 feet inside, A tall blond stranger walks up and asks to dance. We Talked all night and setup a date for the fallowing night.

which led to a Movie the next night.

December 17, 2012. He asked me to be his "Girl Friend" (I hate that Term)

which led to a Picnic the night after

December 18, 2012. Told me he thinks I'm the one God made for him and LOVES ME.

witch led a proposal a few mounts later

February 20, 2013. He looked over at me and said we were made for each other. Will you marry me?

Which led to a WEDDING!!!

April 27, 2013. The Most Amazingly BLESSED WEDDING!

May 4, 2013. We packed up and drover over 2,500 miles to our new home

As you can see I had about 2 months to plan a wedding (and a BIG move)! Having watched more than my fare share of Platinum Wedding and Say Yes To The Dress I Knew my budget would not allow for Extravagance so I planed simple; back yard wedding, DIY Pintrest style and "Cheepish" dress (my sadness over this I Easley pushed down telling my self 'you only wear it once') Nothing fancy.

Hears the cool part!

Blessing #1 The Dress
I worked for a clothing designer at the time. when she found out I was engaged she went to work looking for a dress. very specific taste and tight budget don't go well together so I though that's sweet but nothing more. She called saying while at market she met a designer who creates Custom Vintage wedding dresses and would bring back her catalog. Again suppressed excitement, Custom dresses are expensive. Say Yes To The Dress taught me that. I "designed" my dream dress. simple lines, sheers, Small details and empire waist. Looking though the magazine later I saw my dress that easy, it was there on the back of page three. SHOCKED I ordered the dress (employee discount at its finest!) A master seamstresses and design architect. made a few alterations and created my veil.

Blessing #2 Venue
This was the hardest part. I had it in my head for years that I would be married it the Cactus Hotel. Originally a Hilton Hotel in the 1920s, Kept and maintained in all it Art Nouveau glory.
I was at work searching venues on my lunch break. when I got a call from my mom saying you've got it'! What does that even mean... I was so confused, but what I made out of this dizzying news was this. Someone(s) had paid for the venue all the tables, cloths, chairs, everything... I was sick. Excited then sick then humbled... How. I don't think I can write how ridiculous this is. That I was this blessed that. I AM STILL IN SHOCK !

Blessing #3 Friends
This one I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN SAY ENOUGH. I was beyond stressed. they swooped in and saved the day. I was Blown away! I'm not even going to try and mention everything but every single little thing is tucked away in my heart. I felt SO loved.

(this ones was an extra goodie)
Blessing #4 Coincidence, I Think Not
I gave a general guides for bridesmaid dresses, Black maybe some lace. when the girls showed up in there they Matched! Lace Black Dresses! Perfectly! without seeing each others!

This was all just the icing on the cake. The real prize, I got to marry my best friend. joined together as partners.

And we are living Haply Ever After
